Coping with the disaster to come

It's summer and, unfortunately for us, Hurricane season in the Caribbean. Dennis, the first male-named hurricane I've ever met -ending with the weathermen longest standing tradition to name such phenomena- it's upon us.

I'm sure officials will take care of the situation. The Keys are just miles away from the coast of Florida, and the impredictability of Hurricanes makes advisable to flee, instead of staying, even if trenched up as many ussualy decide.

Frankly, this sort of things have been part of the region's recurrent events. Ever since European colonists settled in the Caribbean sea, they become aware that a devastating storm could take away everything they put their hopes on. To hold the same argument of the greenhouse effect is rather cheap at this point. Probably it has its effect, and the global warming will certainly have consequences in the formation of hurricanes.

What's often forgotten by those apocalyptic prophets is that Man was there before the Global Warming, and hurricanes were still happening. Today, with the Media showing you the world, putting it right in front of you, some may say, and the massive information that the Internet generates not only shows information. I am a true believer that such massive information magnifies a fact like a hurricane.

The impression you'll finally get is that the Greenhouse effect is ultimately responsible of the hurricane. An idea that won't stop the hurricane anyway. get on your car, and don't get into stupid dicussions!
