A look of the world in two minutes (week three)

Once again, working at full throttle to get this blog moving on.

This week, thank God, we have not any atrocities to comment, just the naked thruth of the best news around. And the week's pick, to me, goes to Argentina, where the "piqueteros", are turning definitely from a social-protest movement to a fascistoid-like group, ready to siege diplomatic sees and all in order to get what they want.

Fortunately, the Discovery, will be getting into space, shortly. Mission, of course, was aborted later this week, but not cancelled. I also trust that this newly-established ITER project in Europe will end the nuclear era to install the fusion one. Hopefully, and I know I'm being terribly optimistic at this, we'll end up with power problems worldwide. In Spain we suffer a lot from electricity shortage, but an almost limitless power generator like the fused atom is what we need. Too bad experts say that before 2020, we can't dream of it.

I'm not going to long on Spanish politics, this weeks. It's always the same, and it's not going to change just because we want to. Leftist parties want to set apart the country, and only the Popular Party holds, being the second most voted party, the key to keep in one peace.

I've picked news about the Pope in Italy. Traditionally, it's the country with the biggest interest about His Holyness news. Specially now that major changes are rumored in the Curia. Just to set an example, Msgr. Navarro-Valls is going to turn over his press dept. to an italian female journalist... but that's only rumors.

Finally, to state that Ricardo Martín, a major opinion leader here in Spain is a confessed reader of us! People like him, with his advices and ideas, which eventually are followed, make this Weekend Update blog a better place. Thank you, Ricardo.

Have fun this week, everybody. It's summer!

I'm Miguel Vinuesa and I am outta here.
