We're close to the 10th already, aren't we? 10 weeks making free right-wing opinion for the best and now with more people than we expected. One of them is a man I haven't really introduced in the last weeks. His name is José Luis Panero, movie critic working in the Spanish economic newspaper La Gaceta de los Negocios. He's the first professional to join us. Let's hope he stays a while.
Anyway, let's focus on matter. This week was the one of scandals. A spy in the White house, for instance. Who could think of that during the Cold War? Absurd.
Absurdity would be fine to describe French politics as well. You don't deal with a strike with the Military. It's terribly old-fashioned, but in this week's french collumn there's more.
More than absurd, outrageous is the dealing of the invasion in Melilla. If not even the army can protect the Spanish-african borders from the desperate immigrants, we should be considering of defence budget for next year. It was PATHETIC to see that. It says a lot of the Spanish Govt. which, by the way, has encouraged, instead of pulling back the new Authonomy Act for Catalonia. Congratulation to the first ruler of our nation that is tearing it apart... Sob.
In Italy, good news at last. The old-dated ruler of Milan's region, Lombardia, could be stepping out. Roberto Formigoni is in Berlusconi's party, but always behave like he was not. He could have become a minister, but never decided to return to national politics. Now, his allies in the regional chamber are angry at him and will probably force a confidence vote. I've been waiting for that.
Finally, in Argentina, new corruption cases emerge. Is the president donating ovens for votes? The enquiry says so, but in a country where information is so manipulated (thanks, Marcela), you have to be carful on what to believe. True or false, I prefer to throw the stone at Kischner.
That could be enough for this week. I'm Miguel Vinuesa and I'm outta here!
